1971 AUSSIE VALIANT SRT CHARGER (6.1 HEMI)

OWNER: Malcolm, @Charga770

MODS:

“This is my Aussie Valiant Charger fitted with a 6.1 SRT Hemi modded with dual carb induction. The 6.1 is a Mopar Performance crate motor. Car runs a 727 Torqueflite transmission. Our Valiants were the same platform as the US Duster/Barracuda with Aussie pressed sheet metal. They were made fro 71 to 76 Badged as a Chrysler Valiant Charger. Available in either small block or our locally produced in line Hemi 6 cylinder. Chrysler had two manufacturing plants in Australia from 1959 to 1980 when they sold out to Mitsubishi. All locally made Chryslers were A bodies – but they did import some C Body cars and convert them to right side steer. We currently get Jeep and the Chrysler 300 inc the SRT….BUT we’re screaming out for the Challenger and Charger…but for some reason Chrysler -Fiat doesnt want to do a right steer version. Car has run a best of 11.9 in the qtr mile.”
